Volunteering is a meaningful way to serve your community, whether by serving on the Board, a committee or subcommittee, assisting at a community event, or helping a neighbor with tasks like snow removal. If you are eager to contribute your time and talent to a particular committee or event, please reach out to the committee chair.

Additionally, if you are interested in taking on a more involved role by serving on the Board or a committee, information about open seats can be found below. Activities and Events Committee

Do you enjoy attending Cameron Station events or have ideas for new ones? Serving on A&E is a great way to help shape the celebrations and gatherings that bring neighbors together. As a member, you’ll work with others to plan community events, review proposals, and make decisions that ensure activities are fun, welcoming, and beneficial to the community as a whole. From holiday festivities to neighborhood socials, volunteering on A&E gives you the opportunity to help strengthen connections in Cameron Station.

The Activities and Events Committee has one (1) opening for any interested individual. The committee leads the social events of the community throughout the year, helps with the preparation of these events, and contributes to the enjoyment of the community. Other Community Opportunities

Want to Help Without Joining the Activities & Events Committee?

You don’t have to be a committee member to make our events successful. Many roles require only a short time commitment, and no prior experience is needed. A&E often needs extra hands at events to keep things running smoothly and enjoyable for everyone.

Here are some ways you can help:

Eggstravaganza: The fun starts early with egg-filling parties, where hundreds of eggs are stuffed with treats. On event day, volunteers are needed to help set up at the park, clean up afterward, and sometimes even step into costume as the Easter Bunny. If you have a convertible, you can make the day extra special by chauffeuring the Bunny to the event!

Patriotic Parade: This annual July 4th celebration relies on neighbors to set up, serve food, and help with clean-up so everyone can enjoy the festivities.

Pool Party: With 400–500 neighbors attending each year, this is one of our biggest events. Volunteers are needed to help with check-in, ticket distribution, setting up tables, canopies, games, and trash bins, distributing ice cream and drinks, and pitching in during clean-up. Even one hour of your time makes a big difference.

Halloween Party: Help bring the spooky fun to life by assisting with set-up, clean-up, or serve as a costume contest judge.

Holiday Party: Volunteers help decorate, manage food service, and clean up after one of our most popular end-of-year gatherings.

Other Events: From Trivia Nights and Community Yard Sales to smaller activities like a plant swap or art talk, there are always opportunities to help with set-up, food service, or clean-up.

Immediate volunteer needs are posted on the Volunteer Opportunities page and highlighted in the weekly Cameron Station Connection. You can also sign up in advance. For example, if you want to help at the Pool Party, lend a convertible for Eggstravaganza, or pitch in at other events, let us know and email events@cameronstation.org
