Class Descriptions:
Fit
Camp: Looking to start your week
off with a total-body workout guaranteed
to blast hundreds of calories? Join our
new Cameron Station Fit Camp! Our kick
butt fit camp will deliver! No music,
no machines and no excuses! This outdoor
class (when possible) will challenge all
of your muscles, including the all important
heart muscle, using a basic format of
calisthenics, jogging and military-style
resistance exercises (i.e., push-ups).
Muscle
Sculpt: Challenge
your muscles using various types of resistance
equipment - weights, tubing, stability
balls, and more! Regular strength
training improves the body’s metabolism,
promotes greater fat-burning efficiency,
and strengthens muscles and bones.
A challenging class that will leave you
feeling strong, fit, and energized!
Pilates: Intro to Pilates
is strongly suggested before trying this
class. Excellent class for all ages and
fitness levels. The focus is on strengthening
the muscles between your hips and your
sternum--your powerhouse--the central
source for power, balance, and movement.
These unique sequence of mat exercises
not only strengthen but will improve your
flexibility, coordination, and posture.
Concentration and deep breathing being
important principles of Pilates, you will
increase mind/body awareness, also.
Pilates/Yoga
Fusion: This mind/body class
is the best of both. Strengthening
your core with basic Pilates mat work
while incorporation some yoga positions
that will relax and stretch those powerhouse
muscles. Leave class feeling rejuvenated
and relaxed for a restful sleep.
Step
& Tone: A total body workout,
alternating periods of cardiovascular
training on the step, followed by muscular
training using weights and resistance
tubing. This class is designed to meet
the needs of most fitness levels. Modifications
offered throughout the class.
Workout
Parents: Do you have kids at
home with you all day and would love to
get out for an hour and workout? What
is this? It is not a babysitting service
or a daycare. From 8:30 - 10:00AM on Monday's,
Wednesday's & Friday's you can bring
your kids to the Cameron Club and you
will alternate with the other participating
mom's between watching the kids and working
out.
Yoga:
This class utilizes specific postures,
breathing techniques, and relaxation to
develop muscular strength, suppleness,
and flexibility.
Zumba:
We are going to start offering Zumba at
Cameron Station! Zumba fuses hypnotic
Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves
to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program
that will blow you away. The routines
feature interval training sessions where
fast and slow rhythms are combined to
tone and sculpt your body while burning
fat. Add some Latin flavor and international
zest into the mix and you've got a Zumba
class!
Class prices are as follows:
All
group exercise classes at Cameron Station
work on a 8 week schedule. $60 for 8 weeks
of one class.
Walk-in rate: $10 per class
