Parking & Vehicle Registration
The City of Alexandria has stipulated several regulations concerning parking at Cameron Station. As a homeowner, the only parking spaces you are guaranteed are the spaces on your lot: garage, driveway, or an assigned street or common garage space if you own a condo. All other street spaces at Cameron Station are Visitor Parking.
City maintained streets (Cameron Station Boulevard, Ferdinand Day Drive, Somervelle Street, and Brenman Park Drive) provide open parking for homeowners, residents, and visitors.
The City of Alexandria has made it clear that it intends for the Association to diligently enforce the city’s imposed parking regulations, especially the regulation that no vehicle shall be parked so as to encroach upon a sidewalk or fire lane.
Residents are required to register their vehicles and display a Cameron Station resident decal. Please remember to completed and return the "Vehicle Registration Form" for new or replacement vehicles. If visitors intend to park on an Association maintained street, they will be required to display a visitor pass on their dashboard. Residents are responsible for picking up their annual visitor passes at the Association office during regular business hours.
The Association continually surveys the community for infringement of parking violations. Written complaints are acceptable from homeowners. HOA warning tickets are issued advising violators that their vehicle may be towed at their expense. Following the warning, towing and/or monetary charges may occur.
The Cameron Station Parking Policy outlines the rules and regulations associated with parking in the Community.
Parking of Police/Government Vehicles
Section II, paragraph F, of the Parking Polict states; “Marked police cars or other federal/state/local law enforcement or emergency vehicles shall not be considered a commercial vehicle under this definition and do not have to register with the Association’s management office. Any unmarked police cars or other federal/state/local law enforcement or emergency vehicles may be parked within the Association provided such vehicles are registered with the Association management office.”
